1. What Orca is
Orca is like a dispatch center with a single crystal-clear view: your team's location on a map, their time on each job, and the billback rules for every hour.
- Custom-built by Western Slope's Grand Junction team, replacing TimeAero.
- Live at Western Slope (internal) and Situs Group (production, live 2026-09-01).
- Tracks per-job time, mileage, GPS location, and billback cost center allocation.
- Technicians and leasing agents clock in/out and submit job updates via mobile app.
Proves: Hugo (Situs demo, 2026-08-25) and Eileen (Situs, 2026-09-01) via Slack #transcripts; Fede (2026-09-11).
2. What the clients' data says
Orca is actively used by our clients in production. It's not a prospect or a concept—it's live, and they're paying attention to it.
- Western Slope: Built and operated by their Grand Junction team (Jason Fish).
- Situs Group: Went live Sep 1, 2026. Steven is working the billback model.
- Both clients actively use Orca for tour scheduling and maintenance dispatch.
- Manual workflow: ops team queries Orca + Google Maps to find nearest agent, books tour.
Proves: Eileen (Situs) reported Sep 1 go-live; Jason Fish (2026-09-09) described current ops workflow.
3. The real-time staff location capability
Orca's superpower is knowing exactly where everyone is, right now, so when an urgent job comes in, you don't call and ask—you look at the map and dispatch the closest person.
- "We track all employees in real time right now." — Jason Fish, 2026-09-04.
- "When a drop-everything comes in, you can look and see who's closest." — Jason Fish, 2026-09-04.
- Latitude, longitude, timestamp captured and queryable from Orca backend.
- Current ops workflow: manual lookup + Google Maps + VA books the showing manually.
Proves: Jason Fish (Western Slope/Situs ops), call with Sean and Fede, 2026-09-04.
4. How a tour engine would consume Orca
Instead of a VA manually checking the map, PropFlow's engine would ask Orca "who is available near this address" and book the tour automatically in real time.
- Engine queries Orca API: "Available leasing agents within 5 miles of address X."
- Orca returns: agent names, location, distance, availability status.
- Engine selects nearest matching agent, updates tour, notifies via Orca app or SMS.
- No manual VA lookup; real-time assignment at scale.
Proves: Jason Fish (2026-09-09): "Our VA books Kat into showings by checking where she is in Orca plus Google Maps."
5. Open questions and next step
Before we build, we need to know: Can Orca talk to us? Is there a door we can walk through to get the location data?
- A: Does Orca expose a real-time location API or webhook? Critical blocker for integration.
- B: What is the data shape (lat/lon/timestamp, employee ID, status)? Informs schema.
- C: Can we query by proximity, or must we fetch-all and filter locally? Performance impact.
- D: Would Western Slope license or partner on integration? Determines commercial path.
Proves: Jason Fish (2026-09-04): "You guys could easily do this better than we're doing it."

What is NOT Orca
Note: This research incorrectly identified orcaserv.com (ORCA Field Service, a public SaaS platform) as the client's Orca. That product is not in use. Western Slope's Orca is homegrown, not a third-party vendor product.
