In plain terms. Should Smith free up another stuck test-booking slot? Yesterday Gera approved freeing up a stuck slot on the building Smith uses to test phone bookings, and asked for a longer-term fix. A new one just got stuck the same way: a booking attempt Friday grabbed a 30-minute test slot for 2pm Denver time, then never finished — no tour exists for it anywhere, and nothing shows an error at that moment. It is blocking that time from being booked again.
The full question, as raised

stuck-tour-slot-sweep flagged reservation 52800675-1eef-4918-bdee-060721a80c3a on mailbox propflow.ai@outlook.com, holderPropertyId appfolio-45 (The Willows, isTest=true), interval 2026-10-16T20:00-20:30Z, submittedAt 2026-10-16T03:14:01.554Z, state=submitted, tourId absent. Queried PROP#appfolio-45/TOUR# partition (235 rows) -- none reference this reservationId. Same reasoning as the prior resolved decision b91982701 (reservation 663ef4c3..., resolved 2026-10-15 by gera: 'free up the slot now ... but we need a bigger, more ideal, potent and durable solution long term'): writeFirstInvite() and retryTourCalendarWrite() are the only two call sites that write a calendar event, and both call bookTourSlot() immediately on success, flipping state to booked -- so an orphaned submitted row with no Tour reference anywhere proves the crash happened before any calendar write landed. Safe recovery is releaseSlot on this one row (a propflow-prod DynamoDB Delete under the CAL#mailbox:propflow.ai@outlook.com partition), which is a hard-stop prod-data action requiring a fresh human approval since this is a different reservationId than yesterday's approval. Also: this is now at least the 4th time this exact pattern (an orphaned submitted row on the Willows test calendar) has been raised -- Gera's prior answer asked for a durable long-term fix rather than one-off manual releases each time.

Why, and what was tried
The session raising this recommends: Free up this slot too
No tour record exists anywhere for it, and this matches what Gera approved yesterday for the same pattern.
Tried first, unsuccessfully: Looked up the exact stuck reservation in production, checked all 235 tour records on the test building for any reference to it (none found), checked Sentry for errors around the time it got stuck (nothing directly tied to tour booking), and traced the booking code to confirm a calendar invite is only ever marked as sent right after a tour record is saved -- which never happened here. Also found the near-identical decision Gera answered yesterday for a different stuck slot on the same test calendar.
