In plain terms. When AppFolio's texting inbox is signed out and a person has already approved one of Clara's texts to a prospect, should Clara send it automatically once the inbox is back (up to the usual age limit), or should it stay unsent until someone re-sends it?
The full question, as raised
door_down holds are retryable:false, so an approved Leasing text behind an AppFolio door outage is stranded. Proposal (docs/planning/alerts/bake-alert.md, PR #23626): re-drive door_down holds carrying a draftApprovalId from pms-text-door-drain once the door episode closes, under the busy age ceiling (door-expired past it).
Why, and what was tried
The session raising this recommends: Send it once the inbox is back The person already approved those exact words; the age limit stops a stale text, and it ends the per-hold alerts for one outage. Tried first, unsuccessfully: Traced tonight's firing to door_down:session_cold in prod logs and the outbox row (held, not retryable); confirmed the open busy-case fix does not cover it; wrote the class design doc.
