Fable recommends: Accept and close — the evidence clears the repair, and I'll leave the saved edits alone for you The repair itself could not have deleted them: the command used only ADDS history, and I proved the hygiene job's save-bundle never picks up untracked files at all (4 of your 7 bundles carry untracked files; neither hygiene one does). Aug 21's history shows only safe fast-forwards. The 53 are all scratch/handoff notes — the exact class our cleanup sweeps remove, and there's a commit showing 22 of that class being swept up in bulk. They were never committed anywhere, so there is nothing left to recover 11 days on. I'd leave the saved edits alone because those files have moved on a lot since (one is 245 lines different), so putting them back automatically would make a mess — better you decide if you still want them. Tried first, unsuccessfully: fcb0e36c8 — asked twice with the options reversed; both runs said ask you rather than let me decide. Its reasoning: the repair is well cleared, but 53 of YOUR files are gone whatever the cause, and me quietly certifying 'nothing was lost' while that is true is the thing we must not do.
