Why, and what was tried
The session raising this recommends: Yes, reset it: the snapshot is complete and verified, so the discard is recoverable
Astra's two passes both said a human must authorize it, and recommended exactly this: verify a complete snapshot, establish exclusive ownership, then reset to freshly fetched origin/main and confirm the puller ticks. The snapshot is already done and controlled. Nothing is committed locally (0 local-only commits), so no commit can be lost; what the reset discards is the working-copy conflict resolution, and I have both working files plus all three index stages per file saved, with a stage2 != stage3 control proving they are a real conflict and not a mis-save.
Model receipt
FABLE was asked, and escalated. Receipt f2fa9c0d7 — NEEDS HUMAN.
ANSWERED BY ASTRA, NOT FABLE — Fable did not answer because only one of its two passes came back, so the order-reversal check could not run.
Under the recorded scope boundary, a human must authorize this Driver to repair the shared checkout outside its assigned plan. Recommend authorizing preservation and recovery: verify a complete snapshot of local changes, index stages and original HEAD; establish exclusive ownership; then reset to freshly fetched origin/main and verify successful puller ticks.
(both passes said so.)
