In plain terms. At Situs, one renter record holds two different people's contact details (a woman's guest card plus a man's phone and email from a later application). Today he became a tenant and got his own record, but his phone stayed on hers, so his texts would land on her record. Should we move his phone, email and application onto his own record?
The full question, as raised
Blended Person pers_f0dbeea1 (org_a3376147, Situs) carries a second human's contacts (+1303… phone, 2nd email, rentalApp:2498) added 2026-10-22 00:01Z via the contact-restamp path. 2026-10-31 04:26Z ensurePersonForTenant minted pers_58a48e7e for AppFolio tenant 5777; phone-race guard correctly refused (name mismatch) and kept the new Person WITHOUT the phone claim. Split: move the 2nd phone+email claims and rentalApp:2498 claim from pers_f0dbeea1 to pers_58a48e7e (prod write, via harness-prod-write or a reviewed script). Root fix (no re-blend) is item 7 of docs/planning/alerts/identity_contact_match_refused.md.
Why, and what was tried
The session raising this recommends: Move his details to his own record Until it moves, his texts and calls resolve to the wrong person, and every sync re-pages this alert. Tried first, unsuccessfully: Read both records in propflow-prod; confirmed the refusal is correct and the cause is the 10-22 blend named in the design doc's addendum; no open decision covered the split.
