In plain terms. Session 7aef7a84 is frozen on a prompt in its terminal (tmux pane %404) that Smith will not answer. Deciding here records your choice on the block; the keystroke itself still has to happen at the pane — nothing will type into a live menu on your behalf.

The session raising this recommends: No
the safe default for a guard Smith refuses to answer is the option that runs nothing — pick another option if you want it to proceed
Tried first, unsuccessfully: Smith's prompt responder read the pane and refused by policy (shape numbered_select, rule escalate_class:iam): the prompt changes who is allowed to do what. A permission guard is answerable only by a human, so no model was consulted — the refusal IS the NEEDS-HUMAN verdict.

In plain terms. Arm the automatic cleanup of dead terminal windows? A new job now checks every five minutes for terminal windows whose Claude has already quit and left only an empty shell behind. Right now it only reports what it would remove and has removed nothing: so far 1 checks, 0 windows flagged. The one time we ran it by hand today it removed exactly the right window and nothing else. Should it be allowed to remove such windows on its own? One wrinkle: it only ever touches windows whose Claude is already gone, and anything it cannot verify it leaves alone.
The full question, as raised

Arm co.propflow.session-cap-reap (launchd, system domain, 300s): session-cap reap --scheduled removes a tmux session only when every pane is a bare login shell with zero children, no client attached, the pane's stamped sid has no live host by fleet-medic host-alive (lease holder pid + start time, or a process resuming the sid), fleet-medic would not resurrect it, and idle >= 30 min; any unreadable term = UNKNOWN = kept; the pane and process table are re-read before the kill. Unarmed it logs REAP WOULD-REMOVE and records the row in ~/.claude/jobs/host/session-cap.reaped.jsonl with armed=false. Evidence so far: 1 observer ticks, 0 would-remove lines (log: ~/.claude/jobs/host/session-cap.log); hand run 11:38 CDT removed op-sess-propflow-ef (sid 3de5e881, host exited, correct). Arm: touch ~/.claude/jobs/host/session-cap-reap.armed. Disarm: delete that file. Full rollback: fleet-daemon --rollback co.propflow.session-cap-reap. PRs: local-bin #382 #372 #377 #378 #393; catalog agentflow-relay #274 #280. ADR-0040 section 4.

Why, and what was tried
The session raising this recommends: Arm it: it removes dead windows on its own
Every check is a fact about a process that already exited, unknowns are always kept, a wrong removal costs one empty shell that can be resumed, and disarming is deleting one file.
Tried first, unsuccessfully: Built the removal rule, had it reviewed three times by an independent reader until no finding remained, ran it once by hand (one correct removal), then deployed it watch-only so the arming could be decided on its own evidence instead of a promise; held the arming because an unattended job that removes sessions is the infra-blast-radius class your rules reserve for you.
