In plain terms. What should fix the nightly work-order check that keeps failing? This check proves AppFolio's work-order sync still works by nudging one sample ticket on the shared test property every night. That ticket keeps getting closed by other testing tools using the same property, so the check has failed every night for a week straight. A manual fix applied the evening before this one pointed it at a different ticket, and that one was already closed too — it failed again the same day. Should the mini make the check manage its own private ticket instead of sharing one?
The full question, as raised
pmsSyncEvalWorkflow's work_order leg asserts priority propagation on ONE pinned existing AppFolio WorkOrder (fx.workOrderId/afWorkOrderId in CONFIG/PMS_SYNC_CANARY_FIXTURES on appfolio-45). It never creates a WO (deliberate 2026-06 design: 'mutates an existing WO's priority, does NOT create one'). The appfolio-45 bench is shared with other eval/tool-smoke suites (evals/tools-fixtures.ts create_work_order/cancel cases) that routinely create+cancel WOs on the same property. Result: red every night since 2026-10-09 except one disarmed-only pass on 10-11. A decider on 2026-10-15 re-pointed the fixture at AF WO 1715/SR 1714 (displayId WILL-1714) via seed-pms-sync-eval-entities.ts --complete-work-order, but that WO's PropFlow mirror already showed status=cancelled (lastSyncedAt 2026-10-11T13:04Z, description 'Tools-eval CLI smoke test (create_work_order). Safe to delete.') — i.e. the WO was already dead before/at the moment it was chosen, or died same-day from the same churn. A live scan just now of all 2,182 AppFolio-mirrored WorkOrders on appfolio-45 found ZERO non-terminal (all completed or cancelled) — there is currently no candidate WO left to re-point to.
Why, and what was tried
The session raising this recommends: The check makes and keeps its own ticket A private ticket can't be closed by someone else's test, so the check stops breaking every few days on shared-bench churn. Tried first, unsuccessfully: Read the nightly automation-run history: work_order step red every night since Oct 9 except one disarmed-only pass on Oct 11. Found a decision from the evening before this one that already re-pointed the check's fixture to a different AppFolio ticket — but that ticket was already marked closed in PropFlow's own mirror days earlier (it was created by a shared tool-smoke test suite, 'safe to delete'), so the fix died the same day it was applied. Scanned all 2,182 AppFolio work orders ever mirrored for this test property and found every single one is either done or cancelled — nothing open is left to swap the check onto.
