In plain terms. Clara no longer tells a tenant that someone will follow up, and that change is live. To call it proven we agreed to watch seven nights of the automated test and see it pass five of them, starting the night of 2026-10-29 - so who should do that watching? I recommend a small nightly job count it and tick it off by itself, rather than a person or a session checking by hand each morning for a week.
The full question, as raised

Who owns the 5-of-7 morpheus-nightly watch for the Clara promise cut, and what counts as its receipt? Everything shippable is merged and live; the only unmet part of the criterion is a seven-night measurement that the acceptance grammar cannot express, so it currently has no owner and no mechanical gate.

Why, and what was tried

WHY THIS REACHED YOU AT ALL: Fable resolved it at high confidence on both passes and escalated only because the question matched the word 'promise'. That match is the DOCK's name - this is a prompt cut that stops Clara telling a tenant someone will follow up. The question is who runs a counter, not a commitment made to a person. I am not routing around the escalation, but the trigger was the slug. ALREADY DONE AND LIVE: the text-lane promise cut merged as e5b65c339729 and is in production. The fence registration merged. The last eval PR is armed as of 2026-10-27T23:43:25Z - the merge-queue cap, not the PR, had held it since it went green. Board 4 of 6 rows. NOT DONE: three goldens green on 5 of 7 consecutive nightly runs with no rewrite on the bench. That stands at 0 of 7 counted nights; first countable night 2026-10-29, earliest completion about 2026-11-04. WHY IT HAS NO GATE: the acceptance grammar's observable kinds are pr/run/slack/deploy; file: and exit: are refused as self-attestation. The only aggregate form is one ref's CI being green. A seven-night window over a LOCAL bench is inexpressible - which is how this task got closed DONE at 23:06Z on a two-item list encoding only the precondition, while the dock finisher read two rows short. I re-armed under a new slug with a harder list and filed the watcher-versus-finisher split as a fleet defect. COST OF WAITING: none for the next day - no night can be counted before 2026-10-29 whichever you pick. The cost arrives if nobody owns the watch by then, because nightly retention is about five nights and the window needs seven. The snapshots are already copied out and do not depend on this session.

The session raising this recommends: A nightly job counts it and ticks it off by itself
Fable agreed on this in both passes (receipt fe682b382) citing ADR-0017: watching is a scheduled process's job and a live watcher is the wrong shape. Option C also games the watcher's 3h grace. Option B launders a self-attested local measurement through a merge no reviewer can re-run, and sits behind the merge-queue saturation already filed. Receipt would be the counter's exit code (0 met / 3 not yet / 4 could not measure) over the mtime-intact snapshots under the jobs directory, whose README carries the routine and the caveats.
Model receiptFABLE was asked, and escalated. Receipt fe682b382 — NEEDS HUMAN.
Both passes agreed on 'A scheduled job owns it: a daily cron runs count-nightly-window.py and closes the dock row nightly-5-of-7 on exit 0, with no driver session held open; the row stays open and un-ticked until then', and it is being escalated anyway: this question turns on money or a commitment to a person (matched 'promise'), which is not a model's to settle however confident it sounds.

Paid for on 2026-08-07: the unit-607 renewal rate came back RESOLVED from both passes at high confidence and was wrong — Fable found the standup ruling about the move-in SPECIAL and missed the correction p…
