1The command-gate change (agent-smith 1443) merged without Fede's review because the PR drive ignored its hold label. Keep it live, or revert it until Fede has reviewed it?

In plain terms. Should the safety-check change that went live without Fede's review stay live? Keeping it stops the check wrongly blocking ordinary commands like the daily review's save step; reverting brings that false blocking back until Fede has looked at it.
Why, and what was tried

agent-smith#1443 changed the command gate so a quoted data operand of a known command (a checkpoint finding, a grep pattern) is no longer read as a pipe into a destructive command. It went through 8 review rounds; the reviewer's last verdict found no shape where it is less safe than main. It was labelled hold-for-review at open so Fede would review it, but the PR drive merged it at 15:59Z 2026-10-25 with the label still on, because the drive only honoured that label on smith-fix/ branches. It is live now (proven in prod: the old refusal shape runs, a real pipe-into-wipe is still refused). #1445 (held) makes the label hold on every branch.

The session raising this recommends: Keep it live; Fede reviews it as merged
A revert is a second unreviewed gate change and brings back the false refusal that stranded the 10-24 review; the reviewer found no remaining bypass after 8 rounds, the change passed a prod check, and the held fix 1445 closes the hole that let it merge.
Tried first, unsuccessfully: Not a call an agent may make: Fede's 2026-10-22 rule holds every gate change for his review, and the merge already happened without it. Tried: traced the cause (PR drive read the hold label only on smith-fix/ branches), proved the merged change in prod, opened 1445 to close the hole, held it.
